Black Manor

Isolated from muggles in Thetford Forest stands Black Manor. Home to centuries of Blacks, the mansion dates back to the 16th century. Its architecture is inspired by the designs of Venetian architect Andrea Palladio. In true Palladian style, columns and picturesque garden dominate the surrounding lands as well as the structure itself. Black Manor is, also, home to many historic artifacts, from Renaissance art work to catalogs of pureblood families. Wealth and grandeur can be observed in every corner of the building. It is said that curses are put in place to remove anyone on the grounds that is not of pure bloodlines. Valuing its position as home to the Noble House of Black, Black Manor remains in perfect condition, sans an attic window pane that was broken by the Black girls and never fixed.

she stands, on the triwizard stage, the only female among four champions, facing a new crowd of doubters and naysayers, who look incredulously at her flowing hair and fine features, not her fierce spirit and sharp mind. let them be fooled by her appearance, let them underestimate and undervalue and undermine her. she would disprove them, this time and every time, by showing them just how much more she could be.

after all, fleur delacour was always too smart to be only pretty.
